Eat Bread and Burn Calories!

I know how to gain weight and I know how to lose it! If you’ve been following my posts long enough, then you’ve probably seen me drop 20 lbs in 1 month over and over and over again.

My ability to change my body quickly relies on changing several things in my life, including my weight-training, my cardio, and most importantly, my diet. The biggest modification that I make to my nutrition when I need to lose weight fast is to cut my starches and eliminate all gluten-containing products from my diet. Sometimes it’s tough to go without starch because my increased caloric burn causes me to crave more food and starches just seem to be so filling!

Although I don’t follow a precise Paleo-Diet, I do enjoy many popular Paleo-products. Paleo Bread helps me to feel satiated the same way that bread, rice, or potatoes do. I am much more comfortable indulging in a 35-calorie slice of Paleo Bread than I am with a slice of 100+ calorie wheat toast. I get the same satisfaction with 1/3 the calories and I avoid the stomach bloating that gluten and many other starches usually cause.

It’s important not to confuse Paleo-Bread with Gluten-Free bread. Although gluten-free bread is still a step up from normal wheat-derived products, it’s still highly processed, starch-loaded, and high in calories.
