Recipe: White Wine and Shallot Marinade (best for barbequed beef)

In a small glass bowl, combine and stir:

  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp grapeseed oil (or other high-temperature cooking oil)
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 bay leaf
