I am blessed to have one particular woman in my life to teach me the tricks to enhancing my physical features. Melissa Mares, professional make-up and eyelash extension artist, is my go-to guru for competition and fitness photo-shoot make-up. If you happen to live in the LA area, then I highly recommend that you check this chick out!

Unfortunately, my mom never taught me how to pick proper foundations and blushes, line my lids, or shadow for “cat-eyes.”  Thank God for Melissa! Not only has she taken me make-up shopping and gotten me amazing discounts on products, but she has helped me to learn what oil-free foundations work best for my skin, what blushes fit my skin-tone, how to line and shadow my eyes for every occasion, which make-up brushes do what and how to use them, etc, etc, etc.

Tonight, Melissa did the “demi” eyelash extensions on me. I love this look because it enhances my “Cat-eyes” and allows me to sleep in for 20 minutes or so extra each day.

Thanks Melissa! You are more than a make-up artist, you are a damn beauty coach!
