Get Pumped Up with Pandora!

Current research demonstrates that pumping up the jams during exercise will pump up your motivation to work out harder; many studies show that listening to music may increase the speed and duration of exercise bouts because turning on to your favorite artists can increase your mood and may even condition you to enjoy your workouts by creating a favorable mental association between exercise and enjoying yourself. Music also functions as a distraction; it makes time go by faster and temporarily takes your mind away from daily stress that may otherwise be overwhelming.

Are you having trouble making your playlist?  Did you know that you can use Pandora to find different types of music?  All you have to do is plug in a song you like and it will make an entire playlist with songs that sound like that one.  Check it out while you’re at work or surfing the net.  It’s a great way to find new music that will help keep your playlist and workouts new and exciting!
